ABOUT SERNATUR

Sernatur is the National Tourism Service responsible for promoting and disseminating the development of tourism in Chile. 

GOALS

Increase awareness of Chile among Chinese citizens in Tier 1 cities.

Build up Sernatur’s library of media by creating content for the company’s WeChat account, Weibo account and Chinese website.

Promote the development of Chile’s tourism in China.

STRATEGY

 

WECHAT ACCOUNT

We opened a Wechat Subscription account and we prepared content, material and posts to publish on the platform. We were able of reaching out to a wide base of the target audience and raising awareness in an effective way. 

We have also created engaging canvas and designs for different types of ads in WeChat:

WEIBO ACCOUNT

We opened and configured a verified Weibo account, creating responsive web design compatible with both laptop and mobile. 

We developed and published content and posts, featuring them with a specific hashtag. In this way we were able to earn fresh views and new followers. All the posts received positive reactions and comments from verified users.

CHINESE WEBSITE

In order to make it possible for Chinese citizens to access the information of the original Sernatur’s website, we set up a Chinese version of their website based on the existing one. 

ONLINE CAMPAIGN

We launched a successful online raffle on Weibo: once our followers shared a 30-second video of Chile on their Weibo pages, they could gain access to our raffle and win prizes. The enthusiastic participation of the target audience contributed greatly in making the event a success.

RESULTS

Sernatur raised awareness of Chile’s natural and cultural heritage among its target audience and gained followers and loyal visitors on its website, WeChat and Weibo accounts.
